Lubbock Adventures!
I along with two of my wonderful friends went to Lubbock last weekend! You see, we are Red Raiders who all had way to much fun at Texas Tech University. I can’t speak for my friends, but I can tell you that I loved every single minute of it! We decided to make a day trip out of it. We left on an 8:45 flight and we were at Lubbock International Airport by 10am. By the way, LBB is the probably the smallest international airport I have EVER seen. I think it has all of 8 gates. My best guess is that some airlines fly to Mexico from Lubbock. Who knows! Anyways, back on the Red Raider topic. We spent the day tooling around the sleepy little town of Lubbock reminiscing about all of the good times we had at Tech. We walked around Campus and took a lot of fun pictures! We had so much fun in the library! Rumor has it that the stacks are haunted….We just had to check it out! I had been talking about a Chimy’s margarita since I graduated and left Lubbock in my rearview mirror. So we ate lunch while sitting on the patio in the beautiful weather, drinking margaritas. It was a perfect day. I can’t choose my favorite pictures, so I am posting most of them in a slideshow. ENJOY!

Summer is ending….
I have been asking myself this question for about a week now….”Where did the summer go?” This of course led to the bigger question of “where in the H.E.Double Hockey Sticks did the first half of 2010 go?” This coming weekend is Labor Day weekend…affectionately known as the unofficial end of summer. Summer is nostalgic for me. I had a lot of GREAT times in the summer growing up. Most of my summers, at least until high school, were spent in Louisiana. I spent about 2 months every year living with my Aunt Becky at Toledo Bend Lake. She is my Mom’s sister and has a son named Derek, who is 5 months older than me and the closet thing I have to a sibling. We used to run around wild-eyed and use our imaginations to play games like safari, where every rock or tree we came to was a different adventure. BEST OF TIMES. So carefree and fun. Oh and Star…Derek’s horse always played an instrumental part in our antics. She was our trusty get-away horse when things went sour. Well…fast forward a number of years to today. This is the summer I turned 25. It wasn’t so bad after all. I kicked off the Summer of 2010 in style. I moved into my own place and then me and four of my best friends went to San Francisco!
Then, my Mom turned 50! I told you this was a big year….Or maybe I didn’t! But I am tellin ya now!
After my big trip to San Fran and helping my Mom celebrate 50…I took it easy and had a fun summer. Attended my fair share of Rangers games.
Great Friend, Brooke!
This is Sweet Avery. She is the daughter of a co-worker!
My favorite park of Friday night Rangers games has to be the fireworks!
About a month ago, I went to Austin to celebrate another sweet friend’s birthday. Picture by my friend Stephanie Ewing!
And of course, I couldn’t leave out the awesome work deck parties! This first picture is me and Chelsea – a great friend and co-worker! She’s awesome! The second picture is Harrison – another co-worker.
This has been fantastic summer to say the least! I am so sad to see it go but I am equally as happy to usher in Fall. Fall brings more travel….Nashville, Upstate New York, D.C., Boston, and New Orleans! Oh and it brings Halloween and Thanksgiving with it too. Like I said, 2010 has and continues to be an incredible year! God is good!
